God’s Conundrum: Obama or McCain?

We all have a decision to make when voting for the next president of the United States: Obama or McCain? According to Kim Clement, the ElijahList prophet extraordinaire, God can’t decide who to place in the White House – it has become an extremely perplexing puzzle for him.

In March, Clement’s god told him to say that Obama was the person for the White House. See article HERE. In a complete reversal of his prophetic word, god said on September 5th through Clement:

For I will place in the White House, one that will call just by one word of prayer, and I shall come running…

When I place in the White House those who know how to pray, not just those who “paddy-whack” in prayer, not those who repeat and pray repetitious prayer, but those who know how to shake, to shake the very altar, those are the ones that shall bring into the marketplace this outpouring that I have planned… These four years will be energetic outpourings in every state… Alaska, you have offered unto me something [Sarah Palin] that I will use and breathe upon and bring a blessing of fire into that cold place…

The White House shall become the prayer house… And they will mock and say “It is the wild house because the Quakers have come”…

Because of President Bush… who prayed every day [Bush is a universalist], I am going to produce in the White House, Spirit-filled human beings that will pray with the Spirit and power.

Kim Clement’s god is quite confused and powerless, and is faced with a conundrum of such magnitude that he continues to tell his follower/priest Clement very conflicting words for the future. It is quite clear that this god does not know the future.

Only the one true God of the Bible can reveal the future, and He never contradicts his Word.

“This Resurrection that is Coming to My People will Bring Great Outpourings in Every State“

Prophesied on September 5, 2008 – Oklahoma City, OKlahoma:

A Multiplication of Great Outpourings This is the season for the children. The adults who have lost childhood have become corpses. Children bring life to corpses. I’m hearing Him say, “When a man, when a woman, when they lose childhood, they grow into corpses. This is a season where your children have been given a marvelous opportunity.

“I hear men speak about the races, and how this race and that community; that city. There will be no election of cities anymore. For what I have done in Florida and what I have done in all of the beautiful places that I have rested, they are now graveyards.”

And God said, “This resurrection that is coming to My people will bring about a multiplication of great outpourings in every state in this Nation. For I will place in the White House, one that will call just by one word of prayer, and I shall come running. And it shall be said, ‘can a woman bring to this Nation the Spirit of God from a political house of power?’ Watch Me,” says the Lord, “watch Me, says the Lord!”

Energetic Outpourings in Every State

“When I place in the White House those who know how to pray, not those who ‘paddy whack’ in prayer, not those who repeat and pray repetitious prayers, but those who know how to shake, to shake the very altar, those are the ones that shall bring into the marketplace this outpouring that I have planned beyond the four walls of religion and that which they call the church.”

For God said, “These four years will be energetic outpourings in every state. And they will say, ‘let us go to Texas, for it is there; and they shall say no, no, no, no let us go to Florida for it is there; no let us go to Oklahoma for it is there. Truly.’ And they shall say, ‘where else? Go to California, it’s there, go to Arizona, it’s there.’ And they shall look at all of the states. Alaska, you have offered unto Me something that I will use and breathe upon and bring a blessing of fire into that cold place,” says the Lord! “I will do it,” says the Lord!

“And they shall say, ‘there’s fire everywhere, fire everywhere, consuming, consuming, consuming.’ There is fire everywhere coming from an energy that shall rapidly come.” So God says, “People, do not say, ‘you are not elected.'” For God said, “The elect of God have had a severe adversary as they have pushed through this great door that has opened. For the great adversary that has stood at your door has now been put under your feet, therefore, run through that door, run through that door, run through that door,” says the Spirit of God!

The Lord says, “The White House shall become the prayer house. The White House shall be called the prayer house. And then they will mock and say, ‘it is the White House,’ and then they will mock and say, ‘it is the wild house because the Quakers have come.’ And they will say, ‘there is even shaking there and trembling.'”

God said, “This is going to be as a result, and even though many men have hated this President – of his own battle with a Babylonian prince with a Babylonian spirit – that has endeavored to take this Nation and bring it to its knees. Because of President Bush,” God said, “who prayed every day, I am going to produce in the White House, Spirit-filled human beings that will pray with the Spirit and power. And they will not be ashamed of it.”

Recently I posted about Kim Clement’s Obama prophecy in which Clement claims “God” told him to tell us that Obama is God’s man for the White House “to rule and to reign and to declare victory in the Middle East” (whose victory? Israelis’ or Palestinians’?). Read the post HERE.

The prophecy is posted on elijahlist.com which is run by Steve Shultz. Before Shultz posts each prophecy, he writes a little about the prophecy. The following is part of what Mr. Shultz wrote about Clement’s Obama prophecy:

Tuesday, April 8 at 1:01pm, I received this Word by Kim Clement regarding Obama. It was sent in and approved by Kim’s staff. Notice the words “APPROVED” below. It’s also about things such as “unity,” the “economy” etc. Again, this is NOT my personal endorsement…

I also don’t necessarily see it as Kim’s personal endorsement either–he seeks to speak what he hears only…

I always take prophecies like this and read them over and over–trying to determine EXACTLY what is or IS NOT being said…

We post controversial prophecies like this one–as always–for prayer and discernment. For those who are new to this list, it is possible that we would publish more future words from other prophets that would appear to contradict this word. That’s the nature of prophecy...

Note what he himself has highlighted in his note. Contradictory prophecies are normal and are the nature of prophecy. According to Shultz, Clement only prophesies what he hears even if it contradicts what “God” supposedly said through another prophet. I suppose if some other prophet hears from “God” that John McCain would be elected President of the U.S., it would also be a valid prophecy from God. You see, that’s the problem with flighty prophets such as those from the Elijah List. There isn’t any consistency and they demean God by saying He contradicts Himself!

It takes a lot of adacity and gall to shake their collective fist in God’s face and say “Hey, we don’t care what You have actually said through Your Word, through Scripture! We’ll just make up the words as we go along and tell everyone it’s from YOU! We have to make money somehow, don’t we?” Directly after the note from the desk of Steve Shultz, and before Clement’s prophecy, two of Clement’s “BRILLIANT products” are offered – for cash of course.

It is simply amazing that there are “christians” who believe that the prophecies of the Elijah List are from God. No, they are not. Can’t be. Those prophets are listening to a different voice.

Channeling – the practice of professedly entering a meditative or trancelike state in order to convey messages from a spiritual guide. (dictionary.com)

There are many examples today of channeling. A Course in Miracles was “scribed” by Dr. Helen Schucman through a process of inner dictation she identified as coming from Jesus. Over a period of seven years, Dr. Schucman transcribed these thoughts into the curriculum which is now being promoted by Marianne Williamson and Oprah Winfrey, among others. Included in the course are these teachings:

“There is no sin. . . “9

A “slain Christ has no meaning.”10

“The journey to the cross should be the last ‘useless journey.’”11

“Do not make the pathetic error of ‘clinging to the old rugged cross.’”12

“The Name of Jesus Christ as such is but a symbol. . . . It is a symbol that is safely used as a replacement for the many names of all the gods to which you pray.”13

“God is in everything I see.”14

“The recognition of God is the recognition of yourself.”15

“The oneness of the Creator and the creation is your wholeness, your sanity and your limitless power.”16

“The Atonement is the final lesson he [man] need learn, for it teaches him that, never having sinned, he has no need of salvation.”17

By comparing scripture with the claims of A Course In Miracles, one can see immediately that this curriculum must be avoided if one is truly a born-again Bible-believing Christian. This teaching is a “doctrine of demons”, a doctrine that came directly from a demon who Dr. Schucman called “Jesus”.

Another example is “The Secret, The Law of Attraction”. The Secret was originally written by “Abraham”, a group of spirit guides/entities/demons who is channeled through Esther Hicks. To harness the power of “the secret”, one must think positively, which changes one’s environment and events positively. A person becomes a magnet for “good things”. So what’s wrong with thinking positively? Nothing, as long as one is “bringing into captivity every thought to the obedience of Christ” (II Corinthians 10:5). What does Jesus Christ have to do with The Secret? Absolutely nothing. Anyone can use the method and be successful, all without Jesus Christ. The Secret also teaches that a person can become One with the universe. If anyone can become a “good”, spiritual person by circumventing the doctrines and teachings of Jesus Christ, then The Secret teachings are unbiblical and heretical. Just the fact that this spirituall process came from demons should keep any Christian away from the material.

Another example is Bob Jones, a prophet from the Elijah List. He has prophecied many times, but his “words from God” do not match scripture. Last year, he prophecied about “green stones with fire” and compared these falling green stones, that fell from the ceiling at a church meeting, to the Holy Spirit. Read the prophecy here. His prophecy is a convoluted, entangled mash of Latter Rain theology, New Age thought, and just plain make-it-up-as-I-go philosophy. His words are supposedly from God. Which god? Where did he get this heretical information? He is getting these “words” from some entity that is NOT the true God of the Bible. Try reading his prophecy and comparing it to scripture — it doesn’t stand a chance.

Just recently, Kim Clement of the Elijah List gave a prophecy regarding Barack Obama. Included in the prophecy is this quote  from “God”:

For God said, “Even though you may think this or that, there is an element of righteousness inside of him [Obama] to reach out for Jesus…

That is unscriptural. Our righteousness is but “filthy rags” (Isaiah 64:6). We are made righteous through Jesus Christ — there is no other Way. Kim Clement’s “god” contradicts the Word of God. Again, comparing the teachings/writings to scripture shows that they fall flat.

In all the examples in this article, one just needs to open a Bible and see that these teachings are heretical and lead one away from God and Jesus Christ. The authors in each of these cases are “channeling” a god, an entity that teaches contrary to scripture — demons that lead people down the broad road to destruction.

Kim Clement of the Elijah List has prophesied regarding Barack Obama. None of us know who will be in the White House next year, but one thing is clear, “God” did not speak these things to Clement. This prophecy does not ring true.

Here is a quote from “God”:

For God said, “Even though you may think this or that, there is an element of righteousness inside of him [Obama] to reach out for Jesus…

 That is unscriptural. Our righteousness is but “filthy rags” (Isaiah 64:6). We are made righteous through Jesus Christ — there is no other Way. No one “reach[es] out for Jesus”. The Holy Spirit DRAWS people to Himself. Humans have no power to make salvation happen. The God I know does not contradict His Word. Clement’s god does.

What Clement said is New Age thought. New Agers like Oprah Winfrey, Eckhart Tolle, Richard Foster believe that we are already gods and we just need to get in touch with “god”, or the Higher Self., and then we will realize our godhood and become “One”. Getting in touch with our god/Higher Self is accomplished through meditation, bringing oneself into “silence”, “solitude” and focusing on the breathing, shutting off all thoughts, and letting demons in. Some let demons speak through them (channeling). 

Clement believes the same thing. He is in touch with a “god” and I wouldn’t be a bit surprised if he meditates. A lot of people who “prophesy” on the Elijah List are New Agers.

Also, according to Kim Clement’s assistant, A.T., the prophecy was given March 29th, 2008. In the prophecy there are references to “next week” which would have been LAST week. Per Clement’s “god”, the political arena was supposed to be swayed last week. The Pennsylvania primary isn’t scheduled until April 22nd, more than three weeks after the prophecy was given. Clement’s “god” said: “Next week, I will arise. I will change everything.” The poll numbers don’t show any significant changes. In my opinion, the “prophecy” was devised to support/endorse Barack Obama and blame God for the obvious lack of discernment on Clement’s part. Please pray for Kim Clement. He is a very lost man.

On another note, how can Clement promote someone who believes it’s great to kill a baby as it’s being born?

Yes, I will, and because of Pennsylvania, I will raise up the man I want,” says the Lord, “to rule and to reign and to declare victory in the Middle East.”

We declare victory in the Middle East tonight. We declare victory in America tonight.

For the Spirit of God says, “Hear, oh people of Zion. Those who have been afraid in Zion, those who have been afraid in this nation–fear not! For your news media has intimidated you, and therefore, it is My turn. Next week, I will arise. I will change everything.”

“I’M TALKING ABOUT OBAMA”

For they have unfairly spoken against an African man, and I’m not talking about Jeremiah Wright; I’m talking about Obama. For God said, “Even though you may think this or that, there is an element of righteousness inside of him to reach out for Jesus. This night in America and in this next week, God has informed us to “watch” as He unfolds and reveals things so you will know that your nation has not been set aside for division and discord; but a time in the Church where African-American, where white or Caucasian, where Hispanic and every race in this nation under the spiritual guidance of the Spirit within a midst of war and division–will bring them to a place of unity.

“For the gatekeepers of this nation are not the Mayors nor the Senators. The gatekeepers of this nation are not the Congressmen or the Congresswomen. Yes, they are gatekeepers but the gatekeepers (I am speaking of) of this nation are the spiritual leaders–the Apostles and the Prophets, the Teachers, the Evangelists, the Pastors that I’ve raised up. “I WILL TAKE THE OIL CRISIS AND BRING IT TO AN END”

And God said, “I will take the entire Northeast and I will shake it and the double portion that I promised upon the Elisha generation shall be released. Do not say we are in recession, for I will take the oil crisis and bring it to an end, and the rapidity of it shall take place because of the unity of the saints and the unity of the gatekeepers. Get ready, for what you have seen on the television regarding Jeremiah Wright and everybody else is not for evil, but for good. I will turn it around and bring unity in My house,” says the Lord of Hosts.

“Your present President will not leave his office or his term in shame. There will be a very precise vindication of numerous things that were scorned, that were mocked by men, that thought they knew but understood nothing. And when the baton is handed over,” God said, “there shall be no fear in the nation.” Now take that and be secure.

I speak not as a politician tonight. I speak to you as a prophetic voice. Not tolerated, but celebrated by the people. Stand firm, you and your house will serve the Lord. And as the prophet Joel said in the last days, your sons and your daughters… sons and daughters are being raised up to prophesy and to have visions. Old men to dream the dreams. That mantle has been cast upon the Church. Therefore, I would say your time of acceleration has reached its peak. You’re taking off!
